Terms and Conditions
Our emphasis is on dental health, dental prevention, and motivating patients to maintain better oral health. We strive to assist our patients in benefiting from good dentistry, confidence, health, and wellbeing. We aim to make our patients experience as pleasant as possible.
In return, you are responsible for keeping appointments made. You must ensure that you also attend for regular examinations, receive the treatment recommended and inform us of any material matter affecting your dental health.
If, in the reasonable opinion of our practice team, we feel that we are not able to maintain your oral health due to any act of omission on your part or if you attend another dentist for dental work, we reserve the right to end the contract immediately by giving notice to that effect.
Cancellation Policy For Dental Appointments
We understand that there may be unavoidable circumstances that may result in changes being required to your appointment, and to be as flexible as possible with our patients, we operate a reminder service with an email reminder, if we hold a valid email address, one week before and a text service reminding you of your appointment 48 hours beforehand.
Please note that, although we normally send email and/or text message reminders prior to appointments, the successful delivery of these relies on our text provider, your mobile network provider and your phone and cannot therefore be guaranteed. Therefore, you should not rely on our emails or text messages as the sole reminder of your appointment. We will not be responsible for any appointments missed as a result of non- delivery of these reminders, regardless of the reasons for its failure.
As appointments are in high demand at this time, a fine will be incurred in the event of:
a failure to attend on the day without any prior notice or
a short notice cancellation (any cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice)
This fine must be paid before any future appointments will be made.
Three short notice cancellations or failure to attends in any 18 month period will result in your patient deregistration.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
Payment Policy
It is Practice Policy that patients pay their costs at each visit and when appropriate a deposit is required for any treatment requiring laboratory work (e.g. crowns/dentures/bridges), with the balance to be paid on completion of the work.
For any hygienist appointments, the Practice will require a deposit of £30.00 when booking an appointment with our hygienist. The Practice reserves the right to retain your deposit in the case of late cancellations (any cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice). A ‘failure to attend’ on the day without any prior notice will result in a full appointment fee being applied to your account of the full amount of a hygiene appointment.
We are pleased to accept payment by either cash, credit or debit cards.
If any debts remain unpaid, we will endeavour to contact you by phone, text message and letter to arrange payment. If we are unable to contact you or we receive no response within 14 days of the date of the letter, we reserve the right to pursue legal action in order to reclaim the debt. Any costs incurred in doing this will be passed on to you.
